Charlotte’s musical journey began at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in piano. Her dedication to mastering her craft was evident from the start, setting the stage for a lifetime of musical excellence.

Following her undergraduate studies, Charlotte pursued her Master of Music Education in Voice at Texas Tech University. This decision marked a pivotal moment in her career, allowing her to combine her love for piano with her exceptional vocal talents. Her pursuit of voice and music education knowledge would later lead her to extensive doctoral work in Vocal Pedagogy, further solidifying her expertise in the field.

For over four decades, Charlotte dedicated herself to public school teaching, leaving an indelible mark on her students’ lives. Her impact was felt across all levels of education, from pre-K to college-level students. Charlotte’s ability to inspire and educate young minds in music is a testament to her unwavering passion for teaching and nurturing talent.

Beyond her role in education, Charlotte is a prolific composer and author with multiple publications. Her compositions have resonated with audiences far and wide, and her written works have contributed to music education.

Charlotte’s talents extend beyond the classroom and page. She was a prominent church choir conductor, leading them on eight transformative “Missions in Song” across the United States and Europe. Her ability to unite voices in harmony and inspire spiritual connection through music is a testament to her exceptional leadership.

Charlotte’s role as the founding director of “Infinity,” a 16-voice acappella jazz ensemble, showcases her innovative and creative approach to music. She led the group to new heights for fifteen years, captivating audiences with their unique and soulful performances.

Throughout her career, Charlotte has also maintained a private voice and piano studio in her home, aptly named “Studio in the Oaks.” Her dedication to nurturing individual talent through personalized instruction has impacted countless aspiring musicians.

In May 2012, Charlotte retired from public school teaching, marking the end of an era in her illustrious career. However, her love for music and commitment to education continue to shine brightly as she shares her expertise and passion with the world.
